Where VoiceNote comes from
Every idea is born loose, out loud — spontaneous, a bit chaotic. To become something you can use and share, it has to take shape. Today AI already handles that far end well: structuring, turning into code, a task, a product. The friction that's left is at the start — capturing the thought the moment it surfaces, while it still flows, formless.
VoiceNote was born from that real need: capturing ideas fast enough to pull projects out of the drawer, without stopping to structure everything in writing right away. It's one more point of contact with the place where ideas are born — it records them as they come, hands back the text, and you use it as raw material to keep going.
The idea is to keep the thought alive until it leaves the page, so the dream or the creation doesn't die before it comes true. VoiceNote itself is proof of that: it started as a simple tool, built with the help of AI agents, and became a real product. From zero to here — a sign that, by keeping the idea alive, you can turn it into reality.
And a good part of it is free: the CLI version is open, for those curious about tech who'll set it up and run it with their own key. Those who'd rather have convenience day to day use the web version.
